Wize News ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Ibraheem and accessible at this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our service, how we use it, and your rights. We keep this plain — no legal fog.

What Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google or GitHub via Supabase OAuth, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture URL from the OAuth provider. We do not receive or store your Google or GitHub password.
Usage Data
We collect standard server logs including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data helps us debug issues and understand how the service is used.
Subscription Data
(This one is coming Soon) If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Paddle. We receive a subscription status and subscription ID from Paddle but never your payment card details. Paddle's privacy policy governs payment data.
How We Use Your Information

Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored in Supabase, a hosted Postgres database with row-level security. Session tokens are stored in secure, HTTP-only cookies. News content is cached in Upstash Redis with a 24-hour TTL.
We use HTTPS for all data in transit. We do not store passwords. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy.
Cookies
We use one session cookie, set by Supabase, to keep you logged in. This cookie is essential to the service and cannot be opted out of while using the application. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Your Rights
You have the right to:

- →Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- →Withdraw consent for email communications at any time.

Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Server logs are retained for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
Children's Privacy
Wize News is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately at hello@wizenews.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service grows. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
